Training Paths

What are training paths?
The Davison Group can provide training for your organization in single or multiple subject areas. Our training path structure organizes seminars that work togetherto help you build mastery. The path structure provides an ideal opportunity for you to learn tools and techniques that you can apply in your workplace.

What are the advantages to continuing your training through an entire path?
Taking advantage of multiple seminars in a path gives you the benefit of training in which concepts build logically on and reinforce each other. Our training is designed to be leveraged every day, not to sit on a shelf, and the continuum of learning in each path is specifically constructed to maximize the power and value of your acquired knowledge.

For example, in certain paths you may be given assignments applicable to your organization to complete between sessions. You may be given the opportunity to share your work and findings with the group for further feedback and learning that will directly benefit both you and your organization. Your mentor will give you one-on-one feedback. This will offer immense added value and your best opportunity to directly apply what you learn to your responsibilities and your organization.

May I select training from a number of different paths?
Certainly. TDI offers customized, on-site training for virtually any type of organization, agency, or business. We can package seminars and training paths in many different ways to address your organization’s training needs.

Seminars

What seminars are offered?
Please view the Seminars page for a list of all TDI seminars currently offered.

Who can take a seminar?
Training is open to all, from front line staff to supervisors and managers, from executive directors and CEOs to board members.

Are there any prerequisites?
Most seminars have none. When prerequisites exist, they are noted in the schedule and seminar descriptions. For example, the three Benchmarking seminars in the Organizational Performance path are sequential (1 is a prerequisite for 2, and 2 is a prerequisite for 3).

What if I’d like training in an area I don’t see listed?
Feel free to contact us if you'd like training in an area you do not see listed (see our Contact page.) We are happy to take suggestions to help shape our future seminar content. We also offer customized, on-site training for specific organizational needs.

Can I take individual seminars, or must I complete an entire path?
You are not required to sign up for all seminars in a path unless specifically noted in the registration material, though in most cases training path completion will be highly beneficial in building expertise in an operational area. Participants who complete the seminars for an entire path will receive certificates noting their accomplishment.
