The Davison Group is now celebrating its 20th anniversary year. When I announced my intention to start my own consulting business, and to focus on delivering what I hoped would be an uncommon level of service, I was told by many well-meaning friends and colleagues that there was already too much competition in the marketplace. For me, that was simply an incentive to work harder. I believed then, as I do now, that any organization can significantly improve its performance when it is guided by a vision and mission that are embraced by all, driven by the desire to serve and deliver truly exceptional customer service, and committed to authentic collaboration at every level. That requires breaking down the barriers that keep people from doing their best and assuming responsibility for their own and each other’s success. The talent is there; it’s a matter of creating an environment that fosters a collective focus on the will and unlocks organizational and individual potential.

Twenty years later, we have seen those basic ideas pass the test in many different work environments—from county government to the courts and criminal justice, from manufacturing to school districts and higher education, from healthcare providers and social service agencies to the arts, from local governments to quasi-governmental organizations. We have worked with our clients “in the trenches” in all 67 counties of Pennsylvania, and in several other states as well, on strategic planning, mission/vision development and clarification, training, team building, and marketing. We have worked extensively in systems design, training, and implementation. We have provided coaching and mentoring at the executive and middle management levels. We have done in-depth business process reviews in a broad spectrum of organizational environments, public and private, to redesign and re-energize their infrastructures.

Throughout these 20 years, our team has had the pleasure and honor of working with clients whom anyone would be proud to claim. In fact, we are extremely proud of the fact that we have completed multiple engagements for the great majority of our clients. This, we feel, is the best endorsement we could possibly have.
